As some of you know from the Maggie Valley gathering, Jo Ann was going to get a new knee later this year, The Doc called and said "let's do this" so last Monday the 20th was the date. She was only in the hospital for 2 days, everything went well and was home for Thanksgiving climbing the 3 steps into our home without help. Home rehab has already started 3 days a week, they can't believe how much movement she has in just 1 week, her knee is able to bend 105 degrees after only 7 days.

The only thing she's not happy with is the pain meds, making her sleepy all the time but she's hanging in there, wanting to get ready and ride, lol. We see the Doc on Dec 6 for a follow up appointment, we'll have to see what he has to say about that. All in all, one tough lady.

Pray  she has a speedy recovery with no set backs we will keep her in our prayers God bless all. Fred

Prayers for total healing. My Sweetie had both knees totally replaced. Sept was the first one then Dec for the second one. Recovery went well and the on to rehab. By April she was thru with therapy and doing pretty much what she wanted to do. The key to success is therapy and then to continue with a routine to keep everything moving. Jim

Glad to hear Jo Ann is doing well. You better take very good care of her during recovery or she will be able to kick your butt when she is better...:laugh::laugh:

That's so great. Glad she is doing well. My BH had her right knee done in Oct, 2014, and is scheduled to have the left one done in January. It's a bi*** going through the rehab but worth every penny of it. Folks I know who have not done so do not have the range of motion they should have. So glad we are here to help our ladies in their time of need. I had arthroscpoic surgery on both my knees in 2005 and while I am hanging in there I feel replacement is in my future also, lol.
