Thanks Trike Talk for keepin' me "in the loop!"

Have not posted or contributed anything, but thx for keeping me informed of trike happenings and trends. Just received the "miss u" note and am gratefull to be part, although far, of this group!

My plans for 2011 included the start up on a VW powered trike, but life had other plans. I am one of those lucky guys to have a father that's not only a fellow gearhead, but a friend. I'd had this "plan" of riding from the East coast West, and if timed right, catch racing at Bonneville with the Ol' man. Discussed (dreamed) that several times and decided, "we'll build the trike, ship it, ride the wheels off!!". I even decided building foot controls just like a car, for him to "drive".

Hard economics, overspending on my Daughter's wedding (a high!), my other Daughter enrolling in College (another high!), had left little time, and money, to play. Someone broke into storage and took my "project" transmission, and a couple of 66 VW doors. Then Dad fell ill, and died- complications from Leukemia. Thought the Ol' man will provide, at least 10 more "years of service", he was very active at 78, good enough welder to trust my life on his work, fair mechanic, AWESOME FATHER!! Well, this took the wind out of my sails, regarding this project.

I still lurk, at least once a week!!
Sorry for the longish post.
