Thanks to all LEOs today!

My hat is off to all of those in law enforcement:clapping::) not just today, but everyday.
They do a job that most cannot or would not do.

Hopefully Pres. Trump will step up penalties against those who intentionally take the life of a LEO.
Swift capital punishment to the perpetrator(s). No lounging in prison for 20 years only to have a bleeding heart judge commute a death sentence on the myriad of appeals one gets as result of a conviction....

This thread reminded me to call my son & wish him a safe LEO day.
(He's an active Sheriffs Deputy in VA)

Thanks for posting ol school

Thank you all. It is strange that feeling of wanting to run to it not away, but it is there with all of us current and retired. It's not a suicide feeling but one of I need to make it better. We don't want to die but we don't want you too. So we try and do what we can. RIP my sister and brother.

Police officers often see the worst of society every day and it is a miracle that they stay as professional that the vast majority of them do. When I started driving back in the day my Dad told me to follow the law, if a cop ever stopped me to keep me mouth shut and follow his directions. Seems if lots of folks did that there wouldn't need to be so many shootings. Hard to imagine going to work everyday knowing that you might run into some crazy that makes that day your last on earth.

I wasn't a LEO but have been a Volunteer FF/EMT most of my adult life and totally understand the want to run into not away from whatever the trouble the call brings to make things better. It is what we/you all do to serve those who need us. God bless and Godspeed to all law enforcement officers and first responders in these crazy times!
