TGlide 1.25 lift

Re: I-70

Bullet 10,
I didn't notice any loss of oil and don't have a temp gauge so I don't know how hot the oil was. I was riding solo on a bone stock bike and 6th gear was useless. Even in 5th I didn't have that much power and the engine was seriously out of breath. I remember getting passed by an older model BMW K750 pulling a tent trailer no less! I decided then to get the ECM reprogrammed and open the intake & exhaust.
That pretty much cured my complaints but then the 2011 models came out with the 30T that everyone is raving about. Since I have to take the trike back to the dealer for the brake switch recall, I'll ask about the cost of the upgrade. It would be nice to have a lower gear ratio to get me going from a dead stop.
BTW, I had a '95 Road King that would puke out any amount of oil I added above 3.5 quarts so that's where it runs to this day.

I run my oil 3 and3/4 qts on full line and have never had this to happen again. I changed my 32 to 30 tooth sprocket, 65.00 HD sprocket and gaskets about 100. total, did work my self. Took short ride and made a lot of difference, 6th gear is in the picture now.

We recently went to Reno and back on the I-80 over Donner Pass. Those grades are not as long or as steep as the top of the I-70, but Donner is no slouch when it comes to passes. We were able to stay in 6th as long as we were over 65 mph. Below that, 5th was better. Also have SE-255's which help slide the torque curve to the left enough to be a perfect marriage with the 30T sprocket. If I had done the 30T before the cams, I may have not even considered a cam change. That's how good coverting to 30T was for my 2010 TG. Sorry for going off topic...

3000 miles on the 11/4 lift. 1. Sets nice and level 2. Handles as good or better than stock. 3. I now run 28# in the shocks two-up and it's the best ride to date.:)
