Took them months, but Harley is finally replacing rear body of my '10 TG that had a cracked mounting bracket. Looks like they are using a '12 model year. They painted it up with "secret" color codes to match original. Just needed body center, but they are replacing both fenders and rear door also.
Note recent radio problems again. Mechanic showed me where plug goes into tourpack was corroded. It's not one continuous cable anymore.
Trike sat for 1 week because they couldn't decide who would do work, since nobody has done this before. Big suprise it went to mechanic who does all other work on my trike. Rear brake disks also needing replacement (what else is new?).

Glad that Harley is stepping up and taking care of the problem. Interesting that no one wanted to work on the trike...at my local dealership they have a mechanic who specializes in fixing wrecks. He is the mechanic that did my conversion, and does the "heavy lifting" on the trikes, too.

I hope you have the TG on the road soon!

Bikerbozo. I realize you ride your TG. From what you have said the area has bad roads and it really does get some rough treatment. Salt on the streets in winter all that stuff, not good for the trike. I guess I go a little over board on the cleaning and preventive maintenance stuff, but it really does help. In addition to the service maintenance, wash it, wax it and put the dialectic grease on all your electricial wiring connections will make a world of difference in keeping the bike in a more reliable condition. It may take a little more of your time, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Kinda like the old saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" To be truthful, you are blaming Harley for problems that you can prevent with a little TLC. I'm not trying to be a smart :censored:, just trying to be a little helpful.

My understanding was that for the 1st week they had the trike (service appt 1 month prior), just "nobody was assigned to work". they only have 1 mech who works on all trikes, so it wasn't hard to guess who would end up doing work. 1st pic was actually texted to me from mechanic. I have known him for decades so I know he will do the best he can.

On another note, I am tall enough that I usually am looking over or at top of windshield. Also, Dialectric grease is good idea now that I know radio cable is 2 part. HD mechanic already has used some in front on wiring. I expect trike to be ready this weekend. Luckily I have my '04 Electra-glide as a backup. also mostly flying jobs lately (in airport on way to Oak Ridge, TN right now.
