Like every other fad, it will eventually fall out of favor then you're stuck with your tat unless your doctor has a "dermabrasion" machine. I went to the Dr. because I had a couple spots on my arm I didn't like the looks of and he removed them with this machine (using novocaine). The cuts were the better part of 1/4" deep and I thought would be painful after the novacaine wore off, but they weren't. After a couple weeks of healing time you can't tell where the questionable spots on my arm were. Just for a tat, it wouldn't be necessary to go as deep as my Dr. went.

As far as the tats I have, they're staying, but I'm not getting any more. BTW, this procedure is not covered by Medicare. You'll have to have it done under your normal health care before getting in to Medicare.

Well, I certainly hope I am stuck with my tat since it took me a lifetime to decide to get one and over a year to decide what I wanted and where I wanted it to be placed. But, thanks for telling me I don’t know what I want to do to my own body and that I have made a huge mistake.

A fad? People have been doing this for over 2000 years so, yeah, it probably won’t last long.
