Talihina OK

Anyone done any riding in this area? The bride visited there last week and said there were lots of scooters in the area.

Great riding in the area. Talihina OK is in the western end of the Ouachita (wosh' i ta) Mountains. The town is the Oklahoma end of the Talimena Scenic Drive, with Queen Wilhelmina State Park near Mena AR at the eastern end.

The Ouachitas run right into the Boston Mountains and the Ozarks, some of the best riding you'll come across. The address says Arkansas, but you can check out the whole of the area from there:

The area is generally very motorcycle friendly, and it's only a nice 3 hour ride from you in Dallas. Would made a very nice overnight trip.

Thanks. Going to try and get up there soon. Wife says the trees are turning, and as you said, it's not that far away from the DFW area. Unable to take a scooter (eye surgery, seeing double) so it will have to be in a cage.
