Super 8 NE TT RALLY stay over

Checked out hotel today, place looks clean. should be fine, in the back by pool area there is a area walled in that the trailers would fit in if someone is in pool side rooms to look at them now and again it would be great.

As far as Newport ride did it today. down one way, back a little differert way, didn't matter 85 miles either way., 2 1/2 hours give or take. slight detour on way down, mile down 131 till they got you on169 didn't really matter. $4 bridge toll each way at Newport. got a newport map and a things to do in Newport book for 10 couples or so. I'll pass them out friday night sometime. Newport would be a it on that trip, since John is leaving after 10ish he could do Mystic and/or foxwoods on his ride.

Annies was good for breakfast, bar-b-Que place near hotel great, both are small , 20 people at once in either place at most. bar-b-oue does take-out and delivery. There is a place we've eaten at couple of times across from bar-b-que place that has seating and good food for a ### of us.

PM me a name + address I'll send you the map + to do book to you. it'll give you a couple days to look it over. Till I run out of them.

Thats my report

Would like to eat all together on Sat. We have grab bag stuff and Trophies to give out. I don't think we will have entire group for either Fri night or Sun breakfast. Sat night will be the best get together night. If I knew for sure we could use a conference room at the hotel and we could set up a screen we could have movie night. Wild Hogs or, Easy Rider.
Question: how many have CB radios? Still did not see answer for how many trailers?

In Maggie Valley, folks with trailers just pulled them up by a porch post or lamp post, etc., and used their own cable locks to secure them there. Sometimes they were able to position the trailer where they could pull their trike into the same parking space, so cabling it there also served the purpose of saving their spot for them. I really don't think you guys will have any trouble, and most folks already have their own cable and lock anyway.

Have CB... Will not take our trailer...

Nana says it all, with a trailer a hitch lock, and cable w/lock are nessary acessories now a days. In the hotels defense it has 24 hr. desk and is in a family friendly vacation area, not a welfare place that I can tell. I do the park it in front of room then at the end of day I have a parking spot when I get back from riding at end of day wifes bike and mine. The walled in area in back with a space big enough to get one trailer in or out, lock 2 together and they're fine. I went by at 730 am on a tuesday morning and lot was pretty full. Hotel is on rte. 20 west side, good coming from 84, but cause of traffic pattern you can't cross over from 20 east to hotel, you need to turn onto 131 turn around in a lot, come back to traffic light at 20, go west on 20, turn into hotel. you'll see what I mean.

Yep, I have a CB and will not bring the trailer. When we were in Maggie Valley two of us locked our trailers together through the wheels. I have never had a problem with anyone tampering with the trailer or bike. I cant remember the last time I locked my bike and the keys with the FOB are almost always in the window pouch, if the area seems to be iffy, I may take the FOB with me, but most of us dont visit those type of places. The only thing I do is take my Zumo 660 off the bars, as that would be an easy swipe.

See ya'll soon!

John, I'm trying to get us a restaurant for Saturday night that will be able to seat all of us together, preferably in a separate area, but I won't know for sure for another day or two. If I can't get one, I'll talk to Super 8 about using the breakfast area Saturday evening.

Jonesy,
Does the toll bridge take EASYPASS? Did you happen to get the name of the B-B-Q restaurant or is it on your literature? I'll take one of those literatures you have. I'll send you a PM.
Spiritdream,
Do you think if we get the conferance room at the motel we can have Bar-B-Que delivered for our Saturday night meal and presentations. I am sure they will have other things beside B-B-Q on the menu in case someone doesn't like B-B-Q?
Yes, I have CB, what channel do we want to monitor while we are there. Or should we just pick a channel, like channel 5? I used it when we travel in large groups so I know what the last bike/trike or car is doing in case we run into snags we can pull over and wait.
Nana is correct we can do like the old western movie and round-up the wagons in a circle and tie them together. That would be funny! :D
See you soon!

Not getting rave reviews on the web ,.. How is the fOod?
Of course only people that have bad Experiences usually do all the reviews
As long as they have enough room for all of us we can make it a good time.

According to the web, there will be a band there that night. I think it was Sara Ashleigh Band, but my memory banks aren't as good as they use to be, so I could have it wrong.
So, speaking could be a factor if we want to give out trophies and door prizes.
Food for thought, maybe we will have time to give out prizes before we go out to eat, or just after we get back from our run.
See you soon!

Eat in take out don't matter to me! As long as there is some kind of fish on the menu. Honey is a Fish eater. Just thought the majority of people will be with us around 6:00 Sat. night. Might not have to worry about Honey she may not make the trip. We are having complications with Dialyais . She is in the Hospital as I type this.

I am sure we can get this all cleared up by the 24th. I will make it there, even if I have to come by car and drive home every night.

John, sorry to hear about Honey!! Much as we'd all love to see you at the gathering, her health is far more important!! Positive energy coming from this area for a speedy recovery!! :)

I'm sure Honey will bounce back & be able to make trip. We'll take our fishing rods to Newport & catch her supper.... I love fish also, so we'll have a fish fry.......

Prayers for Honey to feel good QUICK! I know she would much prefer to be there with everyone also!

Our best to Honey in recovering. I say pool/pizza party for Sat sounds good. Order one pie with Anchovies and the fish request is taken care of!

Jonesy,
Got the package today, haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Just got back from going to supper at the Pink Cadillac in Rochester. Good food, low prices.
Thank you very much and from what I've read, sounds like there are a few good reviews on food.
Again thank you, I owe you something to drink.

Re: TT NE Rally III
I am posting this in several places so u will all know and not get shook up if we are not there in time. Honey and I will be late for dinner on Fri night. Her dyalisis is still not working so we can not do it in Sturbridge. She will do a late clinic dyalisis on Fri around 3 pm we will leave here about 6 pm be there in the 8:30 area. Sorry that is the best I can do. Unless there is an earlier opening at the clinic we can hope. BTW Shirts look great. I am making up packages with your name and $$$ amount you owe. Should speed up the process.
