Just curious how many people are using the Sundowner seat on the Freewheeler and what they think of it? Just picked one up and tested it for the first time this morning riding to work.
First impression is that it is more comfortable than the stock seat but it moves me forward and higher a little not sure if I like the changed riding position, going to give it a few miles to see if it grows on me.

Sundowner seat

I have one and it does sit you higher. I dont like it going to go to a solo seat once I get it figured out. The thing I notice is when I take a curve aggressively I slide around in it. I am new to 3 wheels and thats a bit different than on 2 wheels.

I have had one on my FW for about 5K miles. It is better than the stock seat but still lacking in padding. I had a gel pad put in it and it is still not what I want. If I hit a hard bump I bottom out on the seat pan and I only weigh 185 lbs. It seems to have me sitting a little more forward and higher than the stock seat. I have a Mustang seat on order. Hopefully it will be as good as the Mustang seats I have had in the past.

I have one on mine also. I put it on mainly for the wife. It's not bad for me and the wife really likes it over the stock seat. For now it does a pretty good job for what I wanted. The ride is a little better for me over the stock seat.

Just got back from a 1,740 mile trip and I do have to say that I do like the Sundowner a lot better than the stock seat. It took a little while to get use to the different riding position but overall I like it.
The last part of the trip was a 12 hour (not continuos, stopped for a sandwhich and then a cup of coffee later to warm up only 34 degrees when I left) run home, other parts of the body started to get sore but not the rear end.

The problem I am having is the fitment of me. On long rides my back and legs are throbbing. I have to take lots of riding breaks.
The seat is good, I had double memory foam added to both front and rear. Reckon I need to make a back rest mount to see if that will help. Love riding it. It's a blast to ride.

I have the Sundowner seat installed on our Freewheeler and it works just fine for me very comfy. It did raise me up a little over the stock seat. I did not find that a problem at all, actually I liked it. The wife loves the Sundowner and says it's perfect and so comfy ThumbUp

Your mileage may vary....:)

Also I think the the Sundowner seat looks nice on the Freewheeler.

Better for passenger...

The Sundowner seat was my first "up-grade" because the wife did not like the wedge-shaped passenger pad on the stock seat. I appreciate sitting a little higher, because of my longer legs, but still put on shift and brake lever extensions. Very comfortable for shorter rides but still find my back side gets numb after a few hours in the saddle. I find myself squirming a bit for a better position, if riding several hours, between gas stops.
