Sorry for the delay in getting back with you guys, I was locked out of my email account that had alot of my stallion information stored. But, i finally got it back. I have replied to all of my private messages, and even posted on a few threads. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. Happy Triking everybody!

Hello; StallionTech, I need some help please; I have ask this on the fourm several times but, I guess no-one has ever had to do it yet. I need to know how to remove my steering-wheel and replace it because; when driving straight my wheel is tilted badly to the Right and should be straight across and it makes it hard to go around curves, any help would be greatly appreciated. You can email or pm me

Thanks and welcome back!
William

You do not need to remove the steering wheel to correct this. Open the hood and you will see some linkage to the steering box which has an adjustment. You can lengthen or shorten this rod to put the steering wheel straight. It will be trial and error until you get it right. A quarter turn either way will be noticeble.

As a side note on this, be sure your steering wheel is unlocked or you'll turn the front wheel instead of the steering wheel.

Thanks for the info trikermarc appreicate it I'll give it a try.

Thanks for the help guys, question am I suppost to see the wheel move when I turn the adjustment screw. Little confused here, When I have the gear shift in drive the steerwheel cross peice is pointing directly to the shifter thats to the right, thats how far its out of adjustment can all that be pulled in and make the wheel straight again its really hard to take curves this away especially making any speed.

Thanks!
William

No you want your front wheel on the ground and straight ahead. That so when you adjust the connecting rod the streering wheel moves and not the tire/wheel. The real question is how did it get so far out of alignment? If it way off then the steering wheel will have to come off. Can help there never removed that wheel. Good luck I hope the adjusting rod gets the job done for you.

I am confused :xzqxz: what linage is everyone talking about on the stallion, is it the large rod type thing on top that has 2 nuts on both sides and a large piece in the middle of the nuts, do I loosen the nuts and turn the large center piece to adjust the steeringwheel or what? Trying to do it today so I can take advantage of the warm weather :) any help or maybe a picture would be greatly appreciated. Is this the adjustment rod in the picture, if so I loosen the 2 nuts and the center part wouldn't turn at all please help.

Ted, I don't know why it is out so far I bought the trike from Blackburn's Trikes in Ohio and it was like that when they bought it to me, I also had to put a cruise control unit on it.

Thanks!

You make the adjustment on that large rod with the nuts. One turn on that rod should be enough to correct yours. Mine was out that much originally. Now, I can't tell you which way to turn it. You will have to do trial & error. A small amount of adjustment will be very noticeable. Good Luck!!!

I just wanted to thank you guys, I finally got my steeringwheel straighten out with alot of trial and error. Appreciated your help... Anything I can do let me know.

Thanks Again!

Sorry for the delay, I didn't fire up my PC yesterday. I didn't have any difficulty in turning the barrel of the rod once I loosened the two jamnuts. You might call Richard at TBMS and see if he
has any suggestions. They have seen it all at the factory.

William what did you end up doing to get it aligned?

Sorry! for the late reply Gorilla, I did everything that was told to me on this fourm. I first had to spray the rod in the picture with wd-40 and let it set overnight, then the next morning I loosened the 2 nuts in the picture, and made sure the ignition was on and the front wheel was on the ground and as straight as I could get it then took I believe it was a 7/8" open-end wrench and turned the large rod counter-clockwise just a small portioon at a time you could see the steeringwheel straightening up. Then tighten the 2 nuts back down and test drove several times making morre adjustments the same way and finally got it straight. Hope this helps!!! :) NOTE: make sure to hold the wrench on the rod and keep it from turning when retightening the 2 nuts.

William
