Damaged inner wheel bearing seals #11353
The seal seems too small in circumference, and when inserting the axle, it hits and damages the seal, and it will not pass through. Does anyone have info or suggestions on installing the seals and wheel bearings. A diagram or sketch? So far two bike shops have been unable to fix the problem. It has been out of service since nov 2027 . It is a 2008 Stallion # 377

+1 on Tom's reply. if you take the take the whole assembly apart you will what Tom is talking about. Making sure that the axle is WELL lubed and smooth. Careful alignment will get it in.

To deal with the problem you have encountered, I had a dummy axle made which is exactly the length of the thickness of the wheel w/seals and bearings. I can assemble

the bearings and seals with the dummy axle in place, roll the wheel into position, then use the oem axle to push the dummy axle through.

Bearing seal

Thanks for the reply’s. Using a dummy axel sounds good but have no idea who could make me one. Not even sure if I have right parts. Can you sketch how to assemble. Is this correct sequence and parts - inner seal cr 1135 - bearing 32006- race- seal national 470025. Starts with inner seal and works out.

So far damaged two inner seals trying to mount the wheel. Have ordered replacements again .

I think you have the sequence correct.

I just went through the same issue, destroying seals. I was able to get it together by putting the axle through the inner seal first, setting the hub / rotor on the wheel, then slide the other hub onto the axle. Once together, the axle will slide side to side to get it on the bike. With the axle through the inner seal first, you don't knock the spring off or tear the seal. Just grease the crap out of the axle first.

I did exactly the same thing when I purchased my Stallion in 2008. I had a machinist friend of mine fabricate one from stock.

Does anyone know the part numbers for the 2009 Stallion front and rear brake pads, front and rear shocks? I don't seethe actual pads on this list.

NAPA parts numbers;

front--TS7487M for a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4.0 L rear pads

rear-- TS-7976-X for a 2005 Ford Five Hundred rear pads

The statement at the end of the numbers "rear pads" means the pads were off that area of the original vehicle. The designation in front or the statement is the fitting on the Stallion.

The calipers on the front are custom made for TBMS for the Stallion. The rear calipers are from the Ford 500 but the calipers are switched when put on the Stallion. The one for the right rear off the ford 500 is used on the left side of the stallion and the switch is the same for the other side. This was so TBMS could use the E-Brake setup.

This has been post several times in the Stallion forum.

Front and rear shocks are all the same. They were special made for the Stallion by Progressive. They WERE only available from MOTORTRIKE the parent company for TBMS. They MIGHT have some left but don't know for sure. They used to require ordering parts thru the MOTORTRIKE dealer network only. Don't know if they still require that.

Also, dont forget to look below the last post in any thread your seeking answers for and there is always a list od "Similar Threads" on the same subject that may have just the answer you are looking for.

Progressive used to rebuild your shocks if you sent them to them. The Stallion group on Facebook had some part numbers for replacements, but I don't know how well they fit as the original ones have an offset on the bottom mounts for clearance. Rick
