sportster oil change

I am going to change the oil in the wife's new ride tomorrow.
Since it does not lean on a kick stand any longer the factory dip stick is to no use. How much oil does a 2003 1200 hold with a filter change?

My guess is 3 quarts even.

Once you've changed it and it's cold again from the ride you or the wife will probably take, check and see where the oil level is on the stick. Then mark the stick and you'll have your new full mark!
