Sportbike Trike

Hi Everyone, This Is John from NW central FL. . I turned my 06 Ninja 250 into a trike because my Dad loved the little fast Ninja but couldn't ride a 2 wheeler anymore. Well he didn't feel comfortable on the trike either after I spent so much time on R&D and of course building it. So at 72 and a stroke he decided to stop riding. Now my Ninja is a trike and the regular Ninja forum kicked me out for triking my sport bike. :gah: Not really. Come to find out the Ninja trike turned out so well and handles so good that I am going to leave it a trike. It's a lot of fun so glad to be part of the trike community now :Trike1: Even though I'm a little early at only 50 yrs. old. I am even going to build them for others if interested in something different.

Great story. Your never too young to trike it! They are what the "If I have to explain it you wouldn't understand" saying is really about!

Hi John and welcome! I'd love to see the ninja. I had a 250 ninja years ago, and loved it! It was amaizingly light and handled like a dream. I use to love to get the rpms up in the twisties.
You're not too young. Im 40 and ride a vw trike i helped my dad build ten years ago. I didn't want to.see him sell it when he realized he couldn't ride it anymore, so now its in my garage.
I do get questions sometimes about whether I ride a trike because I can't hold up a bike. I run the Atlanta public marathon yearly, and am about to go do another tough mudder in April. I have two other bikes, but the vw is the most fun out of them all.
