Speedometer Sensor

Does anyone know where the Speedometer Sensor is located on a 2015 HD freewheeler???"?????

speedometer works sometimes intermitting most of the time, maybe I got a bad sensor not sure. I like to know for myself and try to understand how the system works!!!!!!!

I just had my oil changed I checked it full

On the Twin Cam the speed sensor is mounted to the back of the transmission case.The teeth on the 5th gear trigger it(Hall Effect).What codes are you getting?

I'm not positive it's the same for our trikes.

Old Road Dog is correct, you should have a code & possibly self cancelling turn signal issues & or stalling issues.

The fact that it's intermittent, it could be there is junk/metal on the sensor. Try removing it & cleaning/wiping it off.

Rich, check your bike for codes

If you have a historic code it will spit out a part number also

First-make sure battery connections are clean and tight.Just drive yourself batcrap otherwise.Any modifications?Ride in the rain recently?I'd lift the dash and make sure all connections are seated/corrosion free.HD has never built a waterproof motorcycle.
