Sooooooo

2 moro I go to get my trike. I need positives for certifier as he returns for the second time that all that needed fixing has been. In this country you have to have a government vehicle inspector check your trike kit out, which is a great thing. An independent set of eyes. You then in due course get a plate which is afixed by the dealer so that if you are stoped by the police you can confirm it is an authorized modification. Since I live 2 hours away from where the trike was kitted I intended to nominate my local and only Harley Davidson dealer in my city for the remaining process. No, we won't do this, no we won't give you a vehicle inspection so that I can get what is called a warrant of fitness, and we won't service it, as it is not a Harley! We will look at it but we only handle Harleys. I bought the bike from them, guided two buyers to them and they did my 103 screaming eagle upgrade. The front of my tank says Harley Davidson, unchanged, the engine as modified by them, unchanged but throttle pack added, and rear top box says Harley Davidson. Belt original Harley Davidson - monopoly makes for strange management decisions sometimes! Doesn't seem to be a problem in America!:Trike1::no::Computer::pepper::wtg::giggle::pepper::laugh:

Interesting point. I'm not sure if my local dealer will work on trikes other that the Tri-glides (which is what I have). they only got a trike lift a couple months ago. I can tell you that for at least the last 20 years, most dealers won't even work on a Shovelhead anymore. It's that love/hate thing all riders have going with the factory weasels.

I thought I was getting my trike but the paint has bubbled! I won't post anymore until I do have a trike! Some stern words are going to be spoken tomorrow that will not leave any room for misunderstanding on how I fee! The paint man and the trike assembler are going to get the full broad side. You should be able to hear it in America!:gah::Sleep1::brushspank::Turkey:

I think we must be Kin somewhere along the line. MY paint bubbled too, along with many other things. Good luck I know just how you feel!:gah:

Update re dealer comments. Had a phone call this morning from one of the principals of the local and only HD dealership in our city after I expressed disappointment at not being able to get service etc there and questioning if I could any longer ride with the HOG group if I was no longer riding a Harley as perceived by them. Answer? Sorry, misunderstanding, we are glad of your business and yes you can ride with the HOG group! There is a HOG world after all! Now all I need is my trike!!!!!!!!!

Don't blame you a bit, Ian!!! You've been a very patient man.
But I'm dying to know what the "or" part of the ultimatum was :D.

Wish I had been able to be at the rally. Fantastic. Well done everyone. I have a rally Friday of my own. Only one trike involved, mine. I have seen so many Fridays come and go, but this time it is for real! Let you know when it has happened, but I have been assured this is it. Will see, I think I must qualify for Ripley's Believe It Or Not! I must be the longest connected member without a trike!!!!!:Trike1::Shrug:ThumbUp:Sleep1::pukeface:Happy Fourth of July!:Flag:

Ian, we will be ready to wave our flags, lift our drinks in a cheer, and join in your celebration with you wherever we may be! Can't wait to hear about it and see pictures. :)

First I just want to say, congradulations on whatever you ride. That you ride is the only important thing. But, I have to take this time to give a shout out for my Cheetah Chopper Trike. After picking her up in Ind. and riding back to Tex. I got her registered with no questions asked. I took her to South Austin Harley Davidson and got her inspected with no questions asked. The boys in suits even came out to look her over. I'm one to say, ride what makes you happy. But be proud of what you ride.

Everett, can't wait to go on a ride with you and that big monster!! Keep us posted about your adventures on it - - We sure missed you on our trip to Maggie Valley!!!

I think my favourite song now has to be "Tomorrow" from Annie! Of course didn't get the trike, the exhaust wouldn't go back on. BUT Ladies and Gentlemen, weighing in in the blue corner with a stinking cold and flu.........let you know tomorrow! Doing "Holy Water" from Scotland tonight, nothing else has worked! Yes, rains, high winds, storms, just the perfect day to......."Tune in tomorrow as our Champion faces his ultra test, will he be converted?" Music, "500 miles," Peter, Paul and from Heaven, Mary.

Man you have a lot more patience than I do. I would have picked that thing up and taken it somewhere else a long time ago, or camped out on there door step and made them get it done.
