Last week when I rode in to work it was 37 degrees...

It had warmed up to 47 when I rode home, although you wouldn't know if from seeing Deryl in short sleeves in the pic-

You guys up north are going to laugh...but this morning we woke up to snow...AND it was sticking. (did not take a pic)

Now it is snowing, but not sticking.

All schools in North Mississippi are closed due to the snow.

Tonight supposed to get down to 21 degrees. I know that is lightweight for some of you...but it is pretty dadgum cold for us.

Its all Relative.....:)......

Idaho

Forecasters had predicted heavy snow in Eastern Idaho this year. So far it's been very light snowfall and dry weather. 9 degrees this morning, should be below zero already.

well... there's always February

Unless we get 6 inches of snow it is considered a dusting.

Welcome to my world here in Minnesota

I'd like to say lightweight or amateur but that would be very unkind of me. So I'll just think it. LOL

Good luck with the snow. I am sure it will be gone before can find a snow shovel.:zap:

Hi Kevin. I was just looking at some of the pictures you (Mary) took from our eastern Arizona ride. It seems like just yesterday that we were looking for shade to get out of the sun. Warmer times coming..... Jim

I feel your pain Kevin. We probably can't ever have snow here in central Florida but there has been several nights down in the high 30's in January. My rule for winter riding used to be it had to hit 70 degrees. If January doesn't change soon I may have to adjust my lower limit down a little.

I'm sorry to say that I have had to wear a Jacket more than once since Christmas!

Mighty MIKE

Hey Kevin it's real cold here in Michigan. The Natural Gas police people say I am using 30% more gas than houses in

my area. I only keep my thermostat at 68 degrees during the day and 66 at night. When I called them to explain

that to them the gal at the gas company didn't have an answer. Trying to sell me a programable thermostat. Good

lick with that. I think you all know where this is going.

Stay warm and safe.

It feels colder here in the South because of the higher humidity

Thanks! Yeah, that's it!

I don't know how you guys do it!

It feels colder here in the North East mainly because of the colder temperatures in the Northeast East........

hahahaha...yeah, that may have something to do with it.

Yep, no doubt I'm a lightweight...or smart?

My hands have never touched a snow shovel, and I hope they never do.

This is as close as I ever want to get to a bunch of snow...with my electric jacket on. :D

Come to Florida Bob, I will show you:p

For New Years Weekend Mary and I looked at getting to where it was warmer...even heading down to the coast and into Florida a bit, it was still cold. Guess you gotta go way further south.

Yeah, crazy the difference. Looking forward to the get together later this year.

Yeah, where else could you go to get warmer? Arizona maybe...but it gets cold there too.

Wow, the gas police. Don't like the sound of that.

We quit using propane quite a few years ago. We use the oil filled electric heaters and put a fan behind them. Much less expensive for us than heating with propane, plus it is a much nicer heat.

Dunno how that would work up your way...or what the cost of propane & electricity is up there.

Stay warm!

Not bad it communist ruled Pennsylvania highs close 40's lows mid 20's not much snow all in all decent winter. As far as that goes. Did I mention I strongly dislike the idea of being here in winter lol. Fred

Good to hear it is a mild winter for you so far.

When we were living in Las Vegas Pacific Power was pushing thermostats connected to their network so they could control it during peak power hours. Some people actually fell for that one.

Hey good for you.

Wish I had the smarts to move south too.

Not in the cards at this time.

Enjoy watching the snow melt, I'll have to wait 4 more months for that.

Respect

aka Bubber

Hey Bubber,

I understand not being able to move. Our son lives in Missoula, MT, and would love to move somewhere warmer. Circumstances prevent it.

You guys up north have my respect.

About 15 years ago I was in Missoula (back when I used to smoke) and went outside with a drink to have a cig. By the time I was finished with the cigarette the drink was frozen. Crazy. I seriously don't know how you guys do it.

Was and still am thinking of snowmobile suiting up , for a ride. 10 yrs ago it would of happened , with out thinking . Then again , I hope the suit hasn’t shrunk .
I have never even considered such foolishness.

rode a snowmobile once, was like a wave runner, rougher than hell & a real back breaker. Never again for either one. For those of you that think your trike is rough, ride either one of those torture machines.

The New ones are smooth as silk and faster than a trike...But without snow there just a lawn ornament....:D...

I'm actually not sure which came first. The Can-Am Spyder or the Can-Am snowmoble.

Not sure how one could be very rough riding today. In the beginning, YES.

Kevin, we're down in AZ for the winter....Greer, Payson, Heber, Springerville all got hit with snow last night..1/24-25. Up to 2 ft further north...Flagstaff area. Just rain where we're at, but Phoenix area had bad wind....broken trees, etc.

Still beats the cold back in SD!

Yeah, I cannot even imagine SD in the winter!

Saw some video of snow in Arizona a few days ago. brrrr

60 degrees here today, but next week we have a few days where the high is in the low thirties and the low is in the teens.

That's about as cold as it gets here.

Good hearing from you, enjoy Arizona!!!
