Looks like HD has thrown the gauntlet down for the metric builders. If these prove to be reliable and comparable in price, metric dealers will be in for a duel for consumers.

They are baby v-rods. Street 500 and 750. The one's for the US market will be made in the US. The one's for the emerging markets and Europe will be made in India. The 500s will be used in HD's Rider's Edge rider training program replacing the 500cc Buell Blasts.

At least now the sporster owners will have someone to make fun of. They will now be the middle child. LOL

At the end of the day, we need the jap/british/italian bikes because Harley isn't big enough to fight the government on it's own. I think Harley would be like Pontiac now if it wasn't for all the motorcycle mfg's/ABATE/AMA out there. JMHO
