Slowly rolling north to Sturgis

All the plans for the summer trip
were interrupted by the mother in laws passing
due to cancer last weekend
Dodging scattered rain showers we took off
for the college kids place in Hays
Tomorrow we should make it to Ogallala
Neb
Fri and Sat we will be at Sturgis if things
go well
Not running hard, just enjoying vacation

Met bentrider2249 in Phillipsburg on the
way north on Thursday. Spent half an hour
Shooting the breeze and admiring his VTX
1800 trike
From Hays to Ogallala Ne we dodged rain
Got sprinkled on a couple of times
But no rain
We made good time Friday from
Ogallala to Rapid City SD
Then it clouded up and looked like
Was going to storm around Sturgis
So we had supper and checked in
At our motel in Rapid City
Sturgis weather looks good tomorrow

Headed home today
Walked Sturgis Saturday morning
Did Mt Rushmore, needles
And Iron Mt hwy during the afternoon
Made it back to Ogallala Nebraska today
Ended up going east at alliance neb to
Hyannis then south to Ogallala to miss the
Tstorms
