Skirts

I think it kinda goes with the blacked out look you have going.

For me, I like the black/chrome contrast and to see more of the wheel.

I'd say, if you like it, go for it if you can find a way!:clapping:

I'll jack it up this winter and tape the opening up and see if there will be an issue getting the tire off, or working on the brakes. If that all work out.....start saving my money.....I'm betting this ain't gonna be $20!

There is a guy making them, but I can't find his ad or post. They are lexan. Some of his had snaps to hold them on & some had Velcro. I'll keep looking.....

Might it be Rjsoriginals? http://www.rjsoriginals.bizland.com/newSelect0010.htm, I know he had some skirts on his trike which he made.

Getting the tire off will be next to impossible with a skirt on, the skirt will have to be removable.

Dissenting opinion coming...

Reminds me WAY too much of the Honda Insight fenders. :xzqxz: Besides, I like skirts that are hiked up, if you know what I mean.:D

RJ made a set for his, but there were some a little more refined. You could do some that has a lip on the inside that wouldn't be so far spaced out from the fender. then maybe a twist lock or snap on each bottom end.
A person could make their own easier than finding some made for the Tri.

Absolutely lousy at Photoshop.....but has anyone done or given this any thought? I know some aftermarket trikes have this, but never seen it for the triGlide...Problem would be with straight axle allowing tires to rub in tight turns. Independent suspension would work fine.

LOL ! If you have trouble rubbing the tires in turns, you have some real problems with the suspension !
The big thing is to make them easily removable & replacement without making a big backyard looking piece of ****! Because you're not going to remove the wheel with them on.

If anyone out there is willing to team up with us, we'll develop and easily removable wheel skirt and mass produce them for the Tri-Glide and, with a little modification, for any other trikes. If you are in our area and this interests you as a winter project, contact me at gene@crossroadstrikes.com.

Crossroads to the rescue! OK Utah Trikers......let's team up!!

Thanks - jc

Tri Glide Fender Skirts

I have been informed that some of you out in here may be interested in the new Tri-Glide fender skirts I've come up with. I have made them already for a 2009 Tri-Glide and will have them for all the newer years very soon.
Here's an original skirt look.

Since I'm not a sponsor in here. If anyone is interested in skirts for their Tri-Glides. You can contact me at rjsoriginals@bizland.com Place Fender Skirts in the subject line.
Thank you, RJ

I have a Motortrike conversion on my 2008 and with the 225X65X15 tires that come on it can produce a rub if air shocks are not up and you are in a tight turn. Nothing wrong with my alignment, it is just a fact. I dropped down to 225X50X15 and eliminated the problem. Only difference is 4 mph error on speedometer of which I have adjusted.

I found my Motortrike rear tires were rubbing on the inside of the tire. I added a 1/4" wheel spacer to eliminate the problem.

I now run P205/65R15 same size as the Triglide. I did add a 1/2" spacer to set the wheels outward for the stance.

The reason I went to the different size rear tire was the availability to get the P225 /60R15 is not stocked at all tire shops if I would happen to have need for a tire replacement on the road.
