I spent most of my day detailing the trike and I used a skewer to get into the tight spots, boy did it work great. I have a handicap on my upper extremities from a bike accident in 07, that's why I'm so excited that this worked for me. :D Any one have other makeshift tools for detailing?

Detailing??? I take it you mean cleaning? Detailing over hear means adding some picture or graphic.
Nowt like lost in translation.....;)

Ah, not just cleaning. Getting into every nook and cranny, places you can't normally see and under things. Cleaning the littlest detail. I have a friend that cleans under the seat and behind plastic panels when he details. If you are cleaning under the engine, you are most likely detailing. If you take the rear wheels off to clean the backsides, you are most definatly detailing. If you are waxing under the fenders, you are addicted to detailing, and need to seek help.;)

My philosophy- A bike can be really clean or really ridden, but not both at the same time.

Yes..Ozzark you have the wrong meaning of the word detail Nooks & Crannies I'll give you but... Detailing not on your nellie!!!;)(LOL):p

As I said before it's the loss in translation. You are just makin' it up:eek:

:p Allrite...ah'll give this 'un to ya. Ah s'pose y'all envented the dang language over there 'cross that big lake so's ah guess y'all know's how to talk it. ;)

:D

Detailing = waxing your motorcycle /car/boat etc to perfection , Engine ,interior, exterior, trunk, cleaning all the wax frome between doors, polishing even valve covers and cleaning spark plug wires, some go so far as replacing wires and vac hoses with colored ones. you can go to extreames with this. replace screws and bolts. shampoo carpets , list goes on and on. we have DETAIL shops here that do it. . Prices start at $95.00 go to as high as $500.00
PS Pipe cleaners and Q tips work . Brasso is a good metal cleaner.

Seems to me "detailing" costs too much, no matter what the translation....... UK detailing (decals, pinstriping, personalized decoration of any kind) probably even costs more than the US kind!!!!

But Jake, at least in the US you could TRY to get K to do it for you for free (not that I think she would fall for that for a minute!!!!) LOL :D :D

A flat stick about an inch wide and 1/4"thick maybe a foot long works great. If it is made from oak or an old wooden ruler would work great.Put a rag over the end and it will get deep into little areas fast.
