Since it is cold outside and we are bored (newlywed practical jokes)
One of my former bosses, when his brother got married,
pulled one of the best practical jokes ever.
Not a lot of people had electric doorbells in the early 70s.
(at least not where I lived)
Anyway, newlyweds take the nice big jet off to Acapulco
for a week.
My ex boss has the key for his brothers residence.
So, he ran stereo wire from the door bell to the bedroom
and then put a spring mounted plunger type switch in
the matress.
You sit down or lay down on the bed and the door bell rings.
Then he and some friends sat down the street and had a few
beers while they watch the fun.
Come bedtime, the lights go off
and all of sudden they come back on
and the front door comes flying open.
Apparently this went on til about 1 am when the brother finally
unplugged the door bell. He finally figured it out the next day.
