Side panel tab repair

JB Weld is great stuff. But you mentioned it was "a tab" you wanted to reattach. Is it plastic? If it is plastic, your best bet is JB weld for plastics, not the traditional jb weld.

I like to scuff up and make deep gouges or scores around the area to be reattached on both pieces and get some of the epoxy on/in those gouges.

Late to reply but I use a plastic staple repair kit for many breaks on car bumper cracks or a plastic welder
Works great for me. Recently had to repair the right side front chrome cover, stapled from rear, now solid and no problem.
