We are starting on a trip Sept 3 from South of Jackson Hole Wyoming to Silver Bay Minnesota, down the Mississippi to Natchez Mississippi. We will be including the Natchez Trace. Then home to Wyoming through Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado. My question is, is better to travel the Natchez trace from north to south or south to north or does it matter. Also anyone in Oklahoma, any suggestions on roads in eastern part of the state.

we went from north to south last year in October. The trees were great on the northen 1/3. We liked going that way.

Natchez Trace I like north to south, but it really dont matter. If you have a chance try to breakfast at the Lovelace Hotel (north end).If you cross THE RIVER in Natchez there is a rest.on the right where Jim Bowie is supposed to have killed someone. At Natchez you won't be far from Ferriday,La.where Jerry Lee Lewis,Jimmy Swagert, and jimmy Gilley are from.Red Rock Canyon is really worth seeing in Ok. won't take long.Have a good trip.RIDE SAFE
