I found a new OEM seat for sale and need to ask if it will fit my 2002 Goldwing.

The seat is a new takeoff that he wants $300.00 for.

The ad says it is off of a 2008 Goldwing, the only part number I can read is off of the passenger back rest # 7750-MCA-A200 T1.

Thanks for any info you can give.

IMO, it should fit perfectly. Both are Gen I bikes and the seats are interchangeable.

I very rarely see a post from you that isn't 100% correct, however I have to disagree with you in part on this one. You're correct the seats are interchangeable at least from Gen 1 to Gen 2 (I have no clue about the other way other than I'm thinking they might not fit because of the sides). I put a Gen 1 on my '13 and it fit perfectly as far as bolting up and staying put. The not perfect part is the sides don't extend down as far and you have a open area under the side that you can see into. It has no bearing on how it rides just looks a bit funny with the hole. I told a friend it was to vent the wiring so it wouldn't overheat and he almost fell for it.

Not trying to sharp shoot anybody just stating how it fit when I had my OEM seat redone.
