Now,I'm the kind of guy, that if I can make it,well...that's better than buying it.Satisfaction you know.

So far today...I have spent $25. on materials to make a part I could have bought for $27.Of course when the light bulb went on,I thought I already had everything I needed. Not true.

And ain't even made it yet!:gah:

I don't think "saving money" and riding can actually be used in the same sentence. I have spent a lot of money on flying and riding in my 68 years on earth, but the adventures I have had and the friends I have made along the way are priceless. Even if something costs more to make, you have the satisfaction of knowing you did it your way.

Never ask what it costs if you do you why are you even there, I mean sometimes the event is what it is about, not what's this costing me. The cost question happens after holy crap what did I just take part in. Fred

OK,here it (they are) is.Extended shift pegs.I played with different materials and how to put it together.I think I got it down. One thing,I do have plenty of material left over.I guess I could make a bunch if'n I needed to.My favorite is the 3rd from the left next to the OEM peg.

20170704_125450.jpg the pic is upside down...3rd from the left is now 2nd from the left, still next to the OEM.

So,I did good,ya'll like it?

Thinking about shotgun hulls or rifle brass.Make them a little decorative.

Looks real good, be proud! With my ride, I've adapted and repurposed stuff from two different makes of bikes, the VW drive line and rear suspension, plus more scrap metal and spare parts than I can count. Damn thing seems to exist in a constant state of evolution. It's been a blast, with the best part being all the stuff I had to make by hand because, well, you just can't buy it! For me, that's been the most satisfying part of the whole project. It's the part that truly makes your ride your own.

The down side is, if I ever sell it and the poor bastard that buys it need to replace any of that stuff, he or she is gonna spend a lot of hours scratching their head trying to figure out where it came from! :D

PEACE and ride safe!

Nice,

I like to push and make my own stuff, I aint frugal, just like to tinker

I also sell my templates so y'all can save some dough and time
