Saddle Bags

After you converted your Gold Wing to a trike, what did you do with the saddle bags?

I have the bags and the frame. I brought the entire assembly to a welder to see if he could build a water tight box between the bags and a tongue to go into the hitch receiver. He said he could for about $500.00. That is too expensive.

Does anyone have plans or information that can be shared?

Thank you.

I would guess they use a container of some type between the two bags and the snap cover over it. The water tight question, I am not sure how dry items would be in the center compartment unless there is a bag liner also. This is a flyer for the product from their site http://www.coolcustomtrikes.com/taga...0base%2075.pdf I do not see a reference to the unit being water tight, it may be a question to ask the company. I remember individuals who had these on their trikes.
