Rubber cover for a 2006 GL1800 foot peg

The rubber cover for my 2006 GL1800 trike left foot peg is about torn apart. I suspect the person who gets on is probably in need of some weight loss.... In any case, the parts diagram on Partzilla shows a number of parts; is this going to be a PIA to change it??? USPS says the rubber bit (50661-MCA-000 RUBBER, STEP (Honda)) is supposed to be here Friday. That means it will be here middle of next week in all liklihood as USPS has been really slow lately.

Those do suffer a lot of abuse but not too expensive to replace and easy to change out.

The one thing I hate about ordering small stuff online though is the shipping cost. Sometimes if only needing 1 or 2 small parts, I will go to a dealer and buy there or have them order. Although the part price might be a bit more expensive, since no shipping charge, the final price is usually a bit less. Usually if I can wait, I will try to order enough stuff to reach the free shipping level and then online ordering makes sense.

And just for clarification, this is in no way a reflection on you nor I am not judging you in anyway. Just wanted to bring this up.

I am sure you are right about small parts and shipping cost but it would cost me several hours to drive into San Antonio to a dealer and fight traffic. There has been a whole lot of over development in west San Antonio and the road going in (Culebra Avenue) is torn up totally that I don't much care to save shipping costs. Also there is a good chance that the part won't be in stock and I would have to have the dealer order it.
