I have talked to the Motor Trike folks and they tell me all I need to do for routine maintenance is lubricate the hymen joints with litho grease, check the poly lock nuts and belt tension. They also mention adjusting the drum brakes, but don't say how to do to that. They also say they are self adjusting, but the trike doesn't weigh enough to make the self adjust. I am pretty sure I remember how to adjust drum brakes. Wheel bearings, etc. Is there anything else on the trike kit I should be checking on a regular basis. I have the airbags set at 35 psi and the ride is good.

Joe it sounds like they covered it for you. Your right in that you probably don't back under power enough for the adjusters to work also. So adjust the brakes when you have a low peddle and the other stuff they suggest and you should be good to go. Ride safe

Rear brakes don't need adjusting often but if you find the trike pulling to one side when you use the back brakes. It's time to make a adjustment to the opposite side of the pull.

Example
If you brake and the trike pulls hard to the right. The left side needs to be adjusted to even out the braking.

One side is to measure the inside of brake drum and the other is used to adjust the spread of the shoes.

Always allow the rear drums to spin without a lot of drag.

The heim joints can be lubricated with lithium spray lubricant. It really doesn't last long if you happen to ride in the rain often
