I haven't been on here much in the last couple of months. I've been so busy with a buddy's bike & work & the Holidays. But now that's all over with and things are back to Normal. What ever that is ! Ok let me update what;s been going on this yr with us. 1st we bought a resort home in Arizona in Jan. Been doing the AZ thing since 1977. But now we have a place to call home. I was into Hot Rods for the last 6 to 8 yrs. When we moved here to Minn.
I sold my bike and bought a 1970 Chevelle. Then bought a 2006 SS Monte Carlo . A man has to have TOYS ! Did all that for a better part of 8 yrs. LOVE the Chevelle and the M/C. But things got common place again. So one day I got this but to sell it. It was gone that weekend to a GOOD family. The the M/C was next. it too sold in a hurry.
Then the fun started looking for another Harley. At 1st I wasn't sure what I wanted or could afford. But I came across this 06 Electra Glide Classic with some very low miles. I had to have it and did. Now were still back to me with out a car or truck. For daily use or a grocery getter. Did really hit me till the weather changed up here. Then I started looking for a 4 wheel something. But not sure what I wanted. We only had the Chevy Cobalt between the both of us.
That wasn't going out to well at all. So the hunt was on for my next adventure. So off to the dealers looking at cars. Nothing hit me for a couple of weeks. Then MY LOVELY wife asked me THE question. Sooo are we taking the Harley to AZ this winter ? Yeah we are. How are we going to get it down there ? :AGGHH: GEEZ! Then I thought I had it all figured out.
I'll ship it there and ride it back. What a cook idea. But the CO$T just didn't fit with me. My wife and her wisdom said you need to buy a TRUCK. And walked out of the office :xzqxz:... So I started looking at some New ones. Man O man their nice and all. But I don't have $ 48 k laying around. So a friend of mine you knows a guy. We tease him about that all the time.
if you need anything John has a guy ha ha ha. So off we went to this Chevy dealer and looked at a Siverado that just came in t his friends dealership. 2012 with low miles and looking like she just rolled off the line. Needless to say it was love at 1st sight. So now in a few months we back on Harley's and have a truck to get around when the weather is bad . A lot has changed since we got back here in May. Now were both kind of Anxious to get on the rd again. ThumbUp.... 3 weeks from today were out of here for warmer climate! Then the party starts.
Thanks for letting me reflect on the last year updates. Ohh Now I have to hunt down a trailer to haul the bike and everything else wife & I want to take. That's another story !!!! Oik coff is cold now. Got to make a fresh cup. See ya all later.........
