I have a 2005 GW, with 2012 RS conversion. I'm looking to do the one year recommendation lube of the U Joints. I see grease fittings on the side of the shaft, just forward of the U Joint, looks like the spline, but nothing tucked in the U Joint. Anyone familiar with the drive shaft lube on the RS?

Hi Bill~
Yes you have the Roadsmith Conversion Manual- The factory needs to update page 17, because earlier models that was true, however in recent years (don’t have an exact date), they switched to now using Non-greasable ujoints front and rear. Yes on the spline shaft there is fitting however you do not need to grease that.

I have attached the non-revised Owner’s Manual. (with a phone call to clarify your question/my answer, I made the factory away of the needed update). Sorry for the inaccurate info in there.

P.S. I have a new email…….anne@roadsmithtrikes.com (the office@daytonats.com is ‘blacklisted’ (due to the server….complicated issueto explain), but bottom is I can’t send/reply to emails. So with this new one I can. J
