The reverse switch on my 2006 Gl1800 Motor Trike will not lock in when pushed to engage reverse. Can this be replaced or do you have to replace the entire switch assembly. Only 6000 miles total.

THANKS IN ADVANCE EXPHONEMAN

Yes the switch can be replaced but before I spent the money on that buy a can of contact cleaner, whatever brand you want and spray the snot out of it. That should do the trick.

Work the button while spraying with the cleaner multiple times rapidly. Every time you start the bike each day, work all those button switches in and out to keep them freed up. No need to replace. They can be disassembled , cleaned and lubed with dielectric grease but be careful...lil springs can go flying.
A:)
