Remapping

When you had your trike kits fitted for those with a power commander or similar already fitted did you need to get it remapped when you triked?:wave4::confused: Ta.

I had my bike Dynoed with a Power Commander before I trike her. I have NOT re-Dynoed her but she still runs great just lost a little performance because of the additional weight and drag. It's like riding the bike with a full gross load all the time as far as performance is concerned. Re-dynoing would not change much because the dyno takes only the added drag of the drive train into consideration and not the weight.

Thanks that helps and saves money! The engine hasn't changed just as you say the weight of the soon to be trike. I have the 103 screaming eagle up grade on my 09 Ultra and it seems to have plenty of go.:pepper::pepper:

I had to "fatten up" the 1000 - 1750 range with 5 - 20% throttle to prevent stalling on take off. The Roadsmith kit has longer wheel base, therefore longer exhaust that evidently needed more fuel in that range with the PC3USB. You're probably running the PC4 & if it is running ok, I wouldn't mess with it. If I understand the differences between the PC3 & PC4 right, with the O2 sensors the PC3 doesn't have, yours should retune itself for this problem.

Yes, well of course! I understood the last sentence! I just ordered and received a tire pump. To give you a glimpse in to my mechanical knowledge and ability, I do attach the the air thingy to the exhaust pipe to blow up all the tires at once, don't I?:wtg::innocent::banghead:

Oh, I've seen THAT look before! Had a first step apprentice once -- first job, first day, I handed him a pair of wire cutters & told him to cut ALL the electircal wire out of an engine driven air compresson. Yep -- same look!! Then he started asking stupid questions like; "Do you have a wireing diagram for this thing??" "No." "Do you want me to mark stuff as I cut it out?" "No." "How do you know what goes where?" "When you get all that $hi+ cut out of there, I'll show you." The object was to show him how simple electrical repairs can be. 'Course he firmly believed I was off my rocker, but when he turned the key & hit the starter when we were done with the re-wire, everything worked + he'd learned a LOT! I sometimes forget not everyone here is a master mechanic. Sorry!!

OH, & no -- hooking up the air pump to the exhaust will NOT air all the tires at once. :HaHa: OOPS sorry, couldn't resist, but that was funny. At least you have a sense of humor! That IS a requirement around here!!

Brilliant. Thank you, by the way, any time you need an air hammer, just let me know. I understand you have to make a mold first, reach in and lift the hammer up gently. It is pretty much weightless and don't worry if you don't hear a sound when you strike whatever you are hitting!!!!!! If it breaks, just make another one!!!!!:cool::):):D

Good gawd man, ain't you Kiwi bikers got no common sense at all?

You gotta hook up to the right exhaust first and commence to air'n up the front tire. Then you put the pump over on the left and do the back end.

Of course the safest way to do it is to get down and put your mouth on the end of the pipe and blow.

You go tryin to use that pump and doin' them all at once and you're gonna blow all the grease outta them muffler bearing seals and then with all that salt air down there, you got yourself a real bad problem.

In the land where we fly to America but arrive before we leave, but return one day but arrive back two days later, we have great difficulty with anything mechanical as Kiwis only operate in the dark since we are wingless and nocturnal. That means we can keep everyone in the dark. Now not having wings, which is left again?:Angel::beerchug:
