Red light on

I have a red light that keeps coming on when I turn on my high beams. Now yesterday it would come on for just a second then go off. This morning it came on and stayed on. So I pulled over turn the bike off and started it back up and it stayed off. But I did not turn the high beam back on. I all so have Truck Light LED head light. Anyone have some in put?

Year, make, model, red light ck engine? Need more info to possably help. :Shrug:

2016 FW It is just the red light on the right. I not sure if it is the engine check or the security. No icons.

Security light. Don't know why it would do that.

Did it just start after you put the LED headlight in...:Shrug: If so;; Mechanic's 101... Go back to the last thing you did...

No it has come on before but not when I turned on the high beam. Some times it would just come on going down the road.

Something blocking the signal to the fob, setting off the security? How close is your cell to your fob?

The red light usually means there is an error code stored in the ECM It may be that your Freewheeler is reading the low draw of the headlight as a blown bulb. You can check for error codes using the ignition and turn signal switches. You will probably have to a search on here for the proceedure.

What bronxbill said!! Mine did the same thing after I put a LED bulb in the headlight. Red light comes on when I hit the high beam. I have not worried about it because the FW runs fine otherwise. Red light resets when you cycle the ignition.

When the red security light stays on it indicates a fault in your electric system. Mine did the same thing when I used a drop in LED replacement light.
