Rear Brake Pads

What is the normal, reasonable and customary number of miles in primarily rural riding that rear brake pads should get before needing to be changed out on a 2011 Triglide?

Start looking at then every 5k miles. Most people are getting around 10k depending on their braking style.

I have an 11 Tri, I went through 2 sets of rear brakes in about 10 thousand miles.
Then I put a set of EBC #FA605/HH, So far I have about 14 thousand on that set..
