I know we've had several threads lately regarding rain suits and gear and I wanted to add something I just found. Kathy and I took a day for lunch and a trip to an antique mall. While looking about I found a booth which was selling Army/Air Force Surplus. While digging in one of the boxes I found a pair of pants which was obviously the bottoms to a rain suit. Very well made with reflective stripes and a mesh inside to wick sweat away to keep you cool. The tag was from a company DSCP made for the US Air Force. The tag for the pants was in my size and was only 12 dollars. I tried them on when I got home and they went right over top of my jeans. They felt comfortable with leg sippers and an adjustable waste band. A little investigation found this brand and identical items are sold on Amazon and while they are a little more money still much cheaper than motorcycle specific rain gear.

I ordered the matching jacket on Amazon for 27 dollars. I'll report back after is use my new rain suit. Here is a link for Amazon;

always has to be the haters :laugh:

The AF not only eats better, but

we usually had AIR CONDITIONING also:clapping:

How about an AF Air Traffic Controller. We were really treated well. Don't regret a minute of it turned it into a 34 year FAA career.

Thank you for your service. I have a good friend who was in the Air Force who chuckles and says bivouacking in the AF means having to stay in a motel 6 instead of a Holiday Inn. Wright Paterson is close by to were we live and I like to visit it when ever I can.
