Traded my 2013 ultra, and wifes 2012 street glide for a 2014 tri-glide..hmm why...we stopped the poker run thing, and started roaming the states on our annual trips with friends...wife said go for it and low and behold there it was on the show room floor..been on the floor four two days..and of course it was a learning event for the salesman and myself learning the new bike..sad to see both bikes gone but glad to know she's right behind me instead behind me down the road..The trade off for sure is my knee's are so much not in pain anymore..now the work out turning this beast and learning this audio system...

We are picking up our new tri glide the middle of this month. It will be the first 14 trike that our dealer (Buckminns) sell. I am trading in my 12 Road Glide Ultra. It will be Mysterious Red Sunglo and Blackened Cayenne sunglow.

first real ride up the "Great River Road" to Grafton Il..including the wife she and myself like the bike...smooth, easy to navigate on curves, stereo sounds good..not to mention the V&H I had installed the day of delivery, has a deep tone. wife said she misses her Street Glide already but enjoyed riding as a passenger with me...buddy of mine has a cvo and test rode today..he is ready to pull the plug...we measured the extra pass. seating on my bike..there is 3 inches more room on the new bike...but..the reverse has already stopped working...thanks for being a big guy the bike rolls backwards with little effort..looking forward to our next trip...

Congrats on the new TG. If the reverse is like the older models, you may want to check the breaker hasn't tripped or half tripped. Might still be located under right side cover. Try resetting it.

ThumbUpThumbUp on the new ride!!! I am a little confussed on the cooling system of the 2014. Is it all oil cooled or is it water and oil?? Heard both ways.

Nice folks there at Buckminns, at least they used to be when I used to stop up there. Enjoy your Trike

Fluid cooled heads, also air cooled and they eliminated the OIL COOLER, which I think they will regret down the road. The radiators are in the lower fairings and thus take up a substantial area for any amount of air getting to the motor from there!!

I hope for H-D's sake it works, but I am most certainly not interested in being on their R&D department!

Ya know.... a lot of folks on these boards have had problems with the reverse breaker poping. We have 2 trikes and have never had either pop. We didn't "thumb" over the reverse section, we read it carefully. Both being old Harley riders, we rarely park the trikes in a position where we have to use reverse, especially uphill. If the parking space noses down, back in. If there is a sign that says "Pull in forward", ignore it.

Good Luck.

be sure to get the service manals, includeing the t/g suppliment, and the electronics manual

I have bought all of these manuals for each of the Harleys that I have owned and I can honestly say it is the best money spent. If you put on any extras and are in the middle of changing something and wonder which side of the bolt did the washer go on you can find that in the service manual. I also buy the parts catalog, that saves a lot of time. You can look up your part and call the dealer to see if they have it. Saves a trip if they don't.
I have been looking online for the new 14 sevice manual, parts manual, and the tri glide supplement but can not find them. They are not listed in Haleys online store either???
Still waiting for good news on 9/10 that my trike has been shipped! http://www.triketalk.com/forum/images/smilies/smileygarden_de_banana7.gif

I'm thinking next year,
110 engine
put the oil cooler back on after they redesign its mounting
Replace the CB in the radio.
and,
Another $1,500 increase :>)
