Progressive springs with 6* rake??

I've ordered the 6* triple trees for my VTX1800R from Randy and already have 11.5" progressive shocks on the the trike. I have the progressive springs here in both the GoldWing version and the lowering springs also. I'd like some advice on which set to install with the rake kit. I'd like to know if I need to get new neck bearings for the install. I only want to tear this apart once. Thanks guys and gals.

I have the VTX1800c with 6 degree over OEM ...also have the Progressive regulars in the forks (I`ve heard that the GW ones are too harsh), and Progressive shocks with airbags on the frame (Motortrike setup). With the 6 degree setup, steering response is very light and touchy...I'm getting used to it now, but in the beginning I was thinking it could have perhaps done with less. I do like the look, but you will need spacers (2 inch on mine) to keep the front end of the frame up. Usually bearings, races, etc. come with the new triple trees. You will need special tools however to get the triples apart. Hope this helps.

Like Chumbly i went w the 6 degree after first ridding with it naked. It was one of the best investments i have ever made. Since i was getting things done i, like you, felt it was better to do all at once than tear into it again later.
I put in Progressive shprings in the front and since there was a rake i added a spacer to bring the front back up to level ( You really need to go the spacer thing otherwise the front will be too low) Although the rake kit had bearing i swapped them out for " All BALLS"
Since everything was apart i went ahead and changed the front wheel bearing and seals. as well as front brake pads **ONE side does wear faster than the other due to its configuration **

This was all done at same time AFTER the trike had 28K on it.

After ridding with no rake the " Easy Steer" was like freaking spooky for quite awhile as it just turned so easily that i felt something was wrong. No more head shake BUT it takes some getting use to if you have ridden a trike without it and are use to having to muscle it thru turns..... Easy to over compensate until you get adjusted.
