Your profile picture wont show up when you make a post, but your avatar picture will. For example, my avatar pic is Barney, if that is the pic you're talking about. To add either an avatar pic or a profile pic, go to the top right of the page, click on settings, then on the left side of the setting page, scroll down and select either edit avatar or edit profile picture. Then upload your desired picture from your computer. The avatar pic must be no larger than 150X150 and the profile pic I think is set at a max of either 300X300 or 500X500, I dont remember for sure. You can quickly resize your pics for free at picresize.com.
