Pro Action Shock Adjustment Update/ Click Adjustments To Freebleed
Guys don't be afraid to adjust the freebleed click adjustment on your Pro Action shocks to fine tune your ride.
The Pre load on the springs came in on my shocks with our weights as givin to Pro Action by DK Customs at 20mm down or 14 threads showing above the spring pre load adjusting ring. This gave our 2017 Tri Glide 3/4" of sag. The freebleed click adjustments where set at 5 clicks. I rode the same 100 mile loop three diffrent times this week changing the freebleed adjustment each time I road it. I tried the adjustments at 5,4 & 3 clicks. I found 3 clicks with our set up to feel the best and will be leaving the freebleed adjustments there. (Pro Action claims most people find 3 to 6 clicks to be the range used on the freebleed clicks depending on spring pre load set up).
If I did not Ride the Trike two up with the wife and only rode solo I would set the sag at 1 inch instead of 3/4" but the 3/4" gives me the best of both worlds for two up and solo combined riding comfort. At 1 inch sag I bet the freebleed clicks would be at 4 or 5 for me.
I am very pleased over all with our new Pro Action rear shocks we got from DK Customs. They are much improved over the stock HD air shocks.
