Hi guys and gals, I test rode this local bike around the stealer-ships parking lot and was wondering what you think would be a fair price on something like this? It has a Motor Trike solid rear axle kit and about the only thing that I would need to do to it would be to put some kind of EZ Steer set-up on it - approximately what would that run me? Thanks in advance for your input.

To much for a solid axle, no EZ-steer and that mileage, IMHO
My 06 Level III w/a 2010 Hannigan conversion, E-z steer, foot fairings, upgrade wheels(chrome) and only 20K mightget close to that, if it were for sale

Thanks dawg, I agree with you that the price is high. I was wondering what might be a good offer on it. Bazooka says he can get me a EZ Steer for $700.00 also.

That '07 Cali Sidecar GL1800 in the classifieds is a great deal....did you check on it? Also my buddies TrikeShop GL1800 is a nice trike and he may come down on it.

I checked with budda and they are asking $22,500 for the pic listed in the classifieds; seems like a very good deal. The only thing it doesn't have that I was hoping for was the extra auxiliary fuel tank so I am going to find out today how that will affect driving range and it if can be installed after the fact or if it had to be installed during the CSC install. The hitch already installed would be a bonus too.

Hitch kit is no problem as they said anyone can easily bolt that on; the fuel tank is basically a no-go as CSC said it would be approximately a 6 hour labor job to get that think in there correctly. No information on the difference in range between having the aux fuel tank and not having it but from the mpg you guys and gals are listing on here it looks like the difference between getting approximately 210 miles to possibly getting closer to 300 miles with the aux fuel tank.

Id be all over that trike. Thats a giveaway price on a trike with that few miles. By the time you run through a tank of gas you'll be ready to stretch your legs anyway so I wouldnt let the fuel tank slow you down...JMHO

I wouldn't be that concerned about the tank ether, though I have one on my Yamaha, it is only really handy when you push it past the comfort zone of your butt :) Not to mention the hassle of it being under the seat, and if you have to take the seat off, it is a real pain to get back on........

Mornin' George

I get 33mpg taking it easy, 65mph or so. I went with the aux. tank when specing out the trike. You need to do it before the build takes place. Tom :)

I have a CSC with the aux tank. Ride 90% 2-up & well over 75-80 mph. Rarely get 30 mpg. So we take a pit 'n potty stop about 175-185 miles. All the additional 3.4 gals in the CSC does for me is peace of mind. If you don't have one, I wouldn't sweat it.

Thanks for all the info and help folks; greatly appreciated. I ended up going with another trike deal I got today, locally, and will post pics when I get it in.

After test riding several trike configurations (Spyder, Stallion, Gold Wing) I ended up going with a RS-S Spyder; I am excited about it and will post pics up as soon as I take possession. I also hope later down the road to add a cruiser style or Gold Wing trike to the line-up. My wife just recently got her endorsement and we picked her up a Virago 250 to practice on as well so the stable has grown dramatically in a single day.

Congratulations to both you and your wife!!!!! Can't wait to see pictures :D

Congrats on your choice. Spyder is an awesome machine.
