Got the Pingle shifter installed. The idea being that if I am unable to drive for any reason (and there have been those times) the bride can get us home. The hand-foot coordination kinda gets her, mainly due to lack of experience. Anyway. didn't think i would like the thing at all, but being able to put both feet on the highway pegs and do everything else you need to do with just your hands is kind of interesting. Helped, too, that I installed the Ultimate King seat which makes the highway pegs work a lot better for me as it puts me further back from the dash.

I had wanted to put the Pingle on my Trike, but I have Roadsmith's Comfort Controls. The Pingle won't line up with them. I checked with Pingle and Roadsmith to verify,,,.

Is it not rough on the tranny shifting without using the clutch. ?
Have read how a heel toe shifter can damage the transmission on a honda gold wing.

Didn't install the ignition interrupt and use the clutch on all shifts up or down. Used it quite extensively today and need to make a few adjustments. Not quite right for getting into first gear. Even if we had installed the interrupt, I con't think I would have ever used it without working the clutch.

Pinngel shifter problembs

Wheeles I have a pingel shifter on my 1997 GL1500 Gold Wing SE I had not ridden it for two years took it to the shop they charged the battery after putting in a new battery and they told me the shifter had a 25 second relay on it. I cannot get it to shift I have forgotten how to shift the trike it has two buttons on the left hand side by the clutch is the top button the one you use to shift up in the gears and the bottom button to down shift? I fell real stupid to post this question but I need help because I want to ride again. Sorry for such a long post but in 2010 I had a MC wreck broke both legs, my back, my left shoulder and two fingers on my right hand. I have healed up pretty good I walk with a cane and I ride some I have to shift my pingle shifter with my left foot because I cant get the pingle to reset so I can shift with my left thumb

Thanks in advance to who ever can help me with this

Colin

Pingle Shifter

I've had a Pingle shifter on my trike now for over 20K miles as I couldn't even ride it when I bought the trike from Heartland Honda in Arkansas. Had it shipped to me in central Oregon and installed the shifter and haven't had one lick of trouble with it. It's an '11 CSC Cobra XL kit on a '10 GL 1800. Just love the trike and am able to ride again after suffering with Post Polio at 75 Yrs old. (Poop!!!) Installed the kit myself at home and dielectric grease on all connections and Teflon trailer ball lube on the shaft. One note make sure the solenoid shaft is in direct alignment with the shifter hookup. I mounted the solenoid on the trike and then made sure the attachment on the shifter was in the proper position before I bolted it up (no binding) I've had it on now for 4 years. NO Problems. ;)

pingle shifter

I got a pingle shifter installed. had problems with it ,when I down shift from 5 it would go to 2, some time it would go to neutral. the one time going through a intersection I gearup and it jump to 3rd and I stalled my bike. my wife ran into the rear end and took 2in piece off my fender. the bike was 1 mouth old. Got it fixed and it works great
