After waiting 5 weeks with much anticipation, my wife and I picked up our red 2012 Goldwing with the new Razor Kit...I chose the 2-tone paint...I was on the fence as to stay with the solid color but was very glad I went with the two tone when I saw it!!! I also went with the aqua-shields (which have already proven their worth when I accidently ran over a snake with the front tire and heard it hit the bottom of the shield).

I don't think my wife would have liked an extra passenger in her lap!! :)....Also, went the rake kit...AS this is my first trike, I have never rode without a rake but the turns were very easy to do! I have read many times about how different it was to steer a trike than a 2 wheeler, thought I had my mind wrapped around the push-pull deal..and after riding a motorcycle for 50+ years I just knew I would jump right on the trike and take off...I WAS WRONG!! after that first mile, I had to stop get off and think for a while :)

By the Time I got the trike home, about a 350 mile trip, I was kicking myself for not triking my bike sooner...I had the conversion done by Trike Traders in Lake Alfred, Fl.....I looked long and hard for a installer and these guys were the best choice for me... We are leaving Monday for a 3 week vacation to New Orleans, Memphis, Lexington, Ky, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend TN....Plan to hit the Tail of the Dragon as well as the other rides available in the area...We have ridden all those rides before but not on a trike. We will post pictures as soon as we have them and as soon as I figure out how to post pictures on this site....Hope to meet some of you trikers along the way.

Congratulations Dan!!! (and Mrs. Dan) :D:D

You think you are lovin' that trike now - just wait a couple weeks. By halfway through your vacation you'll really feel confident and start doing thing naturally instead of having to concentrate so much. From the sound of your itinerary, you will be riding some BEAUTIFUL country. Watch the tight curves until you get use to navigating them. The Dragon will be fun and maybe a bit challenging still. ENJOY !!:xszpv::xszpv:

Congratulations Dan. I know several who have had their trikes built at Trike Traders and were very happy. I would have picked the 2-tone also. Take it easy on the trip and enjoy.

Congrats great to read we have another 3 wheel convert. Enjoy the ride. Be safe.

Always great to see another convert. Hope it brings ya'll bunches of miles/smiles. Would suggest THE DRAGON on TUE.,WED., or THUR. especially if first trip. RIDE SAFE

congrats on the new trike!! Hope we can see some pics of it soon.

I'm hoping to do the Dragon next spring. Today I was invited to attend the Masters next year so that may be a good time to hit that.
