In Scotland at the minute we have a little shortage of fuel due to a union strike at the local oil refinery. Some people have been panick buying so it leaves little to buy at the petrol stations. We were on a runout on Sunday and had to think twice where we were heading just in case we could not get any fuel.:(

The price just now is $9.50 a gallon. Some garages are charging between $11 & $12 a gallon. Of course we shall be boycotting these garages once the strike is over.

Huh...and here in the States we're all upset about $3.50 per gallon.
BTW - how much was gas for you before this unpleasentness?

The price for fuel before the rip off merchants got hold was around $7 to $8 a gallon.
You can see why we try to limit the engine size of our cars and cannot run around in big pick ups (although some of them do look the business).

I know a person who runs their car on chip/french fries oil. He buys the used oil then puts it through some sort of process in his garage and low and behold fuel for his estate car. Mark you there is a whiff of cooking when he starts up.:p
