N.J. allows 5 letters/numbers/spaces total on M/C plates. With few "clever" choices left, we settled on HISGW and HERGW...not too bad, I suppose. :Shrug:

I don't see the point of a vanity plate if you can't figure out what it is.
I agree - that's why I was a little "nervous" about ours (see previous) . I was hoping at least " biker folks" would know.:Shrug:

I knew at a glance what HISGW is . Seen a fe that had to explained to me. My car with JAL 88 ( my initials and 88 is love and kisses when signing off on a radio transmittion )
Numbers Originaly used by telegraph Operators to shorten messages has become 88 (love and kisses). I don't know when this came about. 30 is still used in the newspaper and magazine business to indicate the end of a feature, story, or column. And, of course, 73 is still used by amateur radio operators to mean "best regards". I was big I in HAM and CB radio. So next time you sign off on the CB ( men talking to the ladies or ladies talking to men ) remember 88 or 73

Glad you recognized HISGW & HERGW. With all the good, cute or clever "stuff" already taken, we wondered how "recognizable" these would be to others. We expect to be up your way in Aug for the rally, see you then... :wave4:

I just ordered my Plate here in KY. I don't think Mommy was too happy, but I was being a smart ass.IDDOME. I got the idea from a patch I had bought in a MC leather store.

Went to the Virginia License plate web site and, lo and behold, the old plate that I had on my Valkyrie years ago was, once again, available. So, I placed it on a 90 day reserve and will order it within the next couple of weeks. I had looked over and over again for a couple of years and it was in use. Needless to say I reserved it immediately!!!!!

That one is cute & scientifically correct, but how many folks are chemists or carry around their pocket version of the "periodic table" to verify their "guess". I prefer plates that even a putz like me can easily figure out (even if the plates are upside down -

Finally got my tags.......
Got this tag last year.
For our trike I decided to keep it fun and simple. So ours is tagged as 3WHLZ.
Here in Texas I have Vietnam Vet plates on my 21 pickups and my '12 TriGlide. Once you get a set of them, you move them from one vehicle to the other when you trade. The ones on my "04 Powerstroke have been on 4 different pickups since 1991. The state replaces them every 10 years, just for the reflecting quality. the one on my '12 TriGlide was on my '05 Peace Officer Special Ultra. Regardless of what month I buy a new/another vehicle, the state has the registration expire the same month as when I first got them.

The three letters on my trike (remember it is a UK registration plate) are LMT. They have two meanings Lesley Morrison's Trike or the one that my friend says Lady Muck's Transport. :xzqxz: :laugh: :laugh:
How in the world can anyone healthy enough to ride a motorcycle or trike be eligible for a handicap plate??????? I have a friend out there that is healthy as a horse and has a handicap plate on his Harley 2 wheeler. I don't understand it!
It all depends on the handicap. There are people out there who may not be able to walk far due to certain health reasons, doesn't mean they can't ride a trike. I once saw a guy with a prosthetic left leg ride up to the DMV on a 2 wheel Harley bagger then take his cane out of a holder and walk into the DMV, he had a handicap plate.
Now if your friend is healthy as a horse and has a handicap plate then shame on him and his doctor.
I understand how it might be appropriate for someone who rides a Trike, but I still can't figure out how a healthy 2 wheel rider has a handicapped MC plate. When I asked him, he just smiled. Makes it hard for folks with real disabilities who can't find a handicapped parking spaace.
