I saw a goldwing trike today with a tinted shield on the back of the passenger seat. Looked to a foot tall. Anyone know anything about this shield?

I know of an old lady that drove so slow , she put a bug shield on her trunk lid to keep the bugs from hitting the back window. Because they were passing her.

...I have even heard of the passenger falling asleep.
I have a friend who's wife routinely sleeps on the bike during long trips. Never would have believed it 'til I saw it for myself...
We have one on our trike and had one on our last trike. When we bought the new trike the first thing I added was this this shield. It helps a lot with my wife's helmet buffeting, when the wife is happy everyone is happy! Charley
I guess I really don't get the concept?
How does it help being behind her? Is this a side wind issue or what?
Still don't make sense to me?

Ive got one on mine. The missus is about 5 ft tall so when she sits she gets a lot of buffeting off of the trunk. The rear shield blocks it all and makes her ride pleasant. We're not getting any younger and I bought a wing to enjoy riding with the missus. Getting beat up by the wind while riding while youre young may be part of the experience ,but Im older and hopefully wiser and Im in it to enjoy the ride.
