Looking to buy a high quality parade flag, 3'X5' that will withstand speeds up to 80mph for distances up to 300+ miles. I am a member of the Nevada Patriot Guard, and have traveled that far escorting a fallen veteran. I don't mind paying for quality, but I don't like buying cheap flags. I haven't found anyplace yet that has said that they have such a flag.

I figured that if anyone would know where to find one, you guys and gals would.

Thanks in advance.

I've not found one either. Looked everywhere I can search. There is a fabric called Tough-Tex that is supposed to be the best for high winds but even it is limited to just how much speed. I never go over 70mph and only for less than 50 miles, normally 44 gets me to Fort Sill Oklahoma but only escort from Wichita Falls Texas. And that's 70mph on the speedometer which means around 68 real. So 80mph is much more than I do. Reason we don't go that fast unfurled is we have seen poles break before the flags give up. And that's at just 70mph. This is the flag I currently fly but finding branch of service flags especially I've come up blank as well as any other specialty flag. The open weave is supposed to help. I still have never had one last more than 6 months.

Try ; USflagstore motorcycle. I run the American on the right and the POW on the left antenna. Well made stuff, 6x9 . They slip over the antenna base , tight. However a tie wrap will hold them from riding up.

The OP is talking about 3'x5', not 6"x9"! Anyway, had those 6"x9"s on my antennas until one of the antennas broke!

Had the 6x9s on for 3 yrs now, never a problem . Gota keep them on the base, otherwise your askin for a problem. Plus it will be like havin a big tuna on a fishin pole :D if there on the top.

Antennas are not flag poles no matter how small the flag. Not only will the antenna fail at some point, it also just looks cheap. But the question was about 3 x 5 flags flown at 80mph. 80mph are tough conditions no matter what size flag once again. There is no way your antenna can stand up to those speeds.

I've found double stitched nylon or polyester to be your best bet, wherever you buy them. Cotton never holds up. Up until 2009 I was the (lay) Chaplain for Chapter 10 of the Vietnam Veterans of America in Cincinnati and was able to buy flags from National Flag Co.1819 Freeman Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45214 at a substantially reduced price. If you can concoct a reasonable story with letterhead you can likely buy whatever you need from them.
