My mother had palliative care. Nursing home was pushing for hosplce. Fortunately the social worker got in touch with me and said I could go with hospice, but I would have to pay, and it was extremely expensive. When the end is near comfort is the only thing you can provide.

I would have thought Palliative was some type of illness and passed over that article.
