Purchased a 2005 Harley Roadking with Roadsmith kit. First bike ever.
Curious if anybody knows if a rake kit or ez steer make the trike noticeably easier to steer in turns. Guess my muscles are getting old. Like the site so far.

WELCOME to TRIKE TALK.....Glad to have You aboard. Not up on Harley Trikes that much (yet...but readin' here and learnin'...;)), but Your answers should be along shortly.....:wtg:

Welcome to TrikeTalk, Fred. And yes, there is an enormous improvement in the ease of steering the trike when the rake/EZ steer is installed. I ride a Fat Boy with Champion kit, and a close friend has a Road Glide with Roadsmith kit. Both of us agree we wouldn't be without the EZ steer, and he is a big, strong guy! I would urge you to get that done as soon as possible.

Welcome to the site. I'm also in PA, near Harrisburg. This is definately the right place for answers to trike questions.
Don't have a rake kit, although everyone tells me (including bike/trike dealers) it makes a huge difference.

Welcome FredI have one on my wing and it steers great. You will enjoy it I am sure . You are in some beautiful country to ride. RIDE SAFE

Fred, glad to welcome you to the TT family. Any questions, they will get answered. Enjoy your ride, fall is a great time to ride.

Welcome to Trike Talk Fred! What part of PA do you hail from? I am from the Somerset area. By all means get the ez steer as soon as you can. It makes a world of difference in the handling. I have had my trike since April this year and have put over 7000 miles on. It will take you a few hundred miles to really get comfortable with riding a trike and then you will wonder why did it take so long to start riding one!

Welcome aboard, glad you found us. I have a HD and the rake kit makes a great difference. It is almost a must have.
