Okay, Texas TOI members! Your turn to tell us where you want to meet up for a ride, an event, or a special day! We've been all over this beautiful state and have seen some wonderful sights - what sticks out in your own memory that you'd like to see again? The Chili Cookoff in Terlingua in Big Bend Country? Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo? The Lone Star Rally in Galveston or the Roar by the Shore in Padre Island? North, south, east or west?

Or do you want to go out of state and visit something entirely new? There's diamond mines in Arkansas, casinos in Louisiana, the glories of Santa Fe or the Golden Aspen Rally in Ruidoso, NM.

Your call this time - majority rules, and I'll set it up. Respond on this thread or send me a PM.

in october we are having the second halloween rally, last year we did the three twisted sisters. this year we are doing willow city, enchanted rock, llano and luckenbach the last week of oct. 26 through the 30.

bunch of guys want to do a hill country ride in june, kind of hot but i'm up for twisted sisters ride again before oct.

CTHOG is hosting an ARMED FORCES DAY event on May 21st. 12:00 to 16:00 and next is A HEROS PIN RIDE on the 28th of May. 11:00 to 15:00 I'll be grilling hamburgers , hot dogs and chili pie also. more info at the CTHOG web site. Well of course I am biased,but putting my .02 in for something out west. Lots to do out(up) here. Riding Palo Duro does not take to long,but if you time it with a showing of the play "TEXAS" it is quite the experience. Photo op at Cadillac Ranch,and so much good food it will make your head spin!!:wtg:

Blondie, Glad John is up and around. Thought I saw a glimpse of him last Thursday at the Civic Center. Came out to paint lines on the course and yes, it started to pour. Put Frog Toggs on and headed for home. Wife wanted to know why I rode the trike when the weather was threatening. I told her, "Because it was there." Got a less than pleasant look.

Signed up to go on the Wichita Falls, OK ride on 1-3 June. Hope you all are going.

big changes for the second annual halloween ride in texas

i'm changing the venue a little, instead of riding out of boerne, i'm going to make the base for the meetings in kerrville like last year.hotel rooms in boerne are to expensives.

So here is the line up

thursday ride; luchenback, willow city loop, and coopers bbq for a laste lunch, then down to enchanted rock state park.

Friday, the 3 twisted sisters run. We will cover all three roads and have dinner at the coyote ranch.

Sat will be free for all, we can repeat the thursday ride for any that miss it or just ride around on your own with dinner at (it's a secret place)

i'm working on comfort hotel for rates or super 8

will post the rates. There is also better camping in kerrville

so that's it so far

super 8 in kerrville is 58.00 ( i think) i got to remember where i wrote that down. that has always been the best (least expensive ) place to stay in kerrville. also with several other events that time a year don't wait to long.
