Guy has a 305 Yamaha. He says he has no bill of sale or title. I don't know the year.He only wANTS 200 for it .Is it possible to reg such a thing. I believe a bike made before 1981 needs no title in Conn. Bike looks nice.

It's possible, being so old, but I'd have the DMV or police run the VIN# first to be sure it isn't stolen. Doubtful, but these days you just never know...

Good Idea... i know there has to be away worse think is you have to apply for a lost title. I don't understand the no bill of sale. looks like the perfect bike and the price is right and it is only 30 miles from here .

Well 1st I got to get the ser # right off the bike and take it to the POLICE station. Next I will call DMV to see if a lost title can be done or if I even need one . and them see if it can be registered. No bill of sale means i have no proof of purchase. That may be a problem

John I do not think you will be able to register it unless you can find the last owner that had title to it. They will have to apply for a duplicate title, then you will have to get them to sign it over to you. The only other way is you might be able to get it registered if your state has a means of acquiring abandon property.

Sounds too messy for me . What a shame it has 4,000 miles on it and looks to be in mint condition. I am sure he wants me to buy it before i try to see if I can reg it . No bother when I emailed and asked why no title and why no bill of sale even he never returned an answer , STOLEN i bet
